From an existential lens, I practice a combination of mindfulness-based strategies paired with an active and intentional approach to cultivating a value-driven life. As a client, you will likely experience my approach as goal driven and action oriented; you will likely experience me as personable, passionate, and genuine.
While insight aids in better understanding ourselves and the world around us, taking meaningful risks based on important goals is the only real means of activating change. I will support and challenge you to lean into your life, experience the discomfort of traveling new roads, and reap the benefits of creating a fate that you love.
Counseling theories I tend to incorporate in therapy originate from Humanistic philosophies, including Acceptance & Commitment (Mindfulness) Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Reality Therapy. Each of these theories purport that the individual is unique, capable of growth, empowered by choice, and ultimately responsible for his or her life direction.
